Love Hard (2021)
She flew 3,000 miles to surprise her perfect match for Christmas — and found out she'd been catfished.
LA dating columnist Natalie finally matches with her dream guy and flies across the country to surprise him for Christmas — only to discover Josh, the sweet man she's been texting, used his friend Tag's photos. Josh offers a deal: he'll set her up with the real Tag if she plays his girlfriend for his family through the holidays.
Love Hard takes the most modern of dating disasters and builds an old-fashioned Christmas rom-com on it — one that actually has something to say about the gap between profiles and people. Jimmy O. Yang is the revelation: funny, awkward, and quietly heartbreaking as a man who never believed he'd be chosen as himself. The Lin family's holiday warmth, a town full of carolers, and a title that name-checks the two most argued-about Christmas movies ever give it staying power beyond its premiere season.
