A Naija Christmas (2021)
Mama Agatha wants grandchildren — so she puts her Ikoyi house on the table for whichever son marries first.

Mama Agatha has three grown sons — Ugo the charming conman, Obi the romantic, and Chike the quiet one — and not one daughter-in-law or grandchild to show for them. Before Christmas she issues a challenge: the first son to marry inherits her house in Ikoyi. The brothers scramble through Lagos dating life at full speed, chasing brides for the prize and finding, one by one, that the women in front of them can see exactly what they are doing.
Kunle Afolayan, one of Nollywood's defining directors, made this as Netflix's first Nigerian Christmas film, and it carries Lagos in every frame — the parties, the aunties, the church, the pressure. Rachel Oniga, who plays Mama Agatha, died in July 2021, five months before the film premiered; it stands as one of her final performances and a fitting one — the whole movie orbits her.
