A Castle for Christmas (2021)
A bestselling author flees a scandal to Scotland, falls for a castle, and battles its grumpy duke.
After a career-wobbling scandal, romance novelist Sophie Brown escapes to the Scottish village where her grandfather once worked as a groundskeeper — and falls in love with the crumbling castle above it. Buying it is easy. The catch is its owner, the Duke Myles, who insists on staying 90 days to teach her its care — or scare her off.
A Castle for Christmas is pure wish fulfillment done with a wink: the kilted knitting circle, the loyal village, Cary Elwes brooding handsomely in a turret. Brooke Shields plays Sophie as a woman rebuilding on her own terms, which gives the fluff a spine, and the Scottish setting does the rest — all stone walls, big skies, and Christmas deadline romance. Director Mary Lambert dedicated the film to her mother, and that affection for the season runs through every frame.
