It Happened on Fifth Avenue (1947)
A drifter moves into a millionaire's empty mansion for the winter — then invites guests.

Every winter, homeless philosopher Aloysius T. McKeever winters in a boarded-up Fifth Avenue mansion. This year he invites a young veteran, a runaway heiress, and eventually the mansion's own owner — who has to pretend to be poor to stay. A forgotten treasure of post-war comedy.
