Christmas in Connecticut (1945)
America's perfect homemaker is a fraud — and Christmas dinner is at her fake farm.
Elizabeth Lane writes a beloved column about her farm, her baby, and her cooking — none of which exist. When her publisher invites a war hero to her 'home' for Christmas, she has one weekend to build the entire lie. Barbara Stanwyck makes the scramble delightful in this screwball gem.
