The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974)
Santa takes a year off — and the Miser brothers steal the show.

Feeling unappreciated and sick, Santa cancels Christmas, so Mrs. Claus sends two elves to prove people still care. The special is remembered most for the Heat Miser and Snow Miser, whose vaudeville number is one of the great scenes in holiday TV. Shirley Booth narrates beautifully.
