Dashing Through the Snow (2023)
A social worker who stopped believing in Christmas takes his daughter to work on Christmas Eve — and finds Santa in the chimney.
Atlanta police social worker Eddie Garrick turned his back on Christmas after a childhood betrayal by a mall Santa helped split his family. Separated from his wife Allison, he takes their nine-year-old daughter Charlotte along on Christmas Eve calls — and finds a man named Nick stuck in a neighbor's chimney, insisting he is the real Santa Claus. Eddie assumes Nick needs professional help; Charlotte is not so sure. When a crooked congressman's crew comes hunting Nick, father and daughter are pulled into a night-long chase that tests everything Eddie thinks he knows.
Tim Story directs Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges and Lil Rel Howery as the season's most unlikely double act — the skeptic and the Santa — with Teyonah Parris as the wife watching it all come back together. It is a Walt Disney Pictures production made straight for Disney+, and its heart is the Garrick family: a marriage in trouble, a daughter who still believes, and a father who has to learn to again.
